The Steering Committee is a representation of the people and organizations in Shawnee County. This committee acts as a board of directors providing thoughts and insights from around the community.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing leadership by maintaining the community focus.
• Reviewing the implementation of vision strategies.
• Ensuring that alliances are being formed around the key strategies each year.
• Maintaining accountability through periodic progress reports.
• Helping to keep the process collaborative and grassroots, not as control agents.
