|Funders & Partners: Introduction|
Vision Partners and Alliances
Community volunteers, organizations and businesses are continuing to come forward to help implement strategies addressed in the Plan. Groups and individuals are sharing their talents and ideas in their areas of interest and expertise.
Accomplishing our vision is easier if individuals and organizations contribute their talents and ideas. We thank our Vision Partners for endorsing the Strategic Plan, and we salute them for their commitment to making our community the best place it can be. To make the wide array of issues our community must address more manageable, strategies are grouped into six “foundation” areas: Education, Quality of Life, Infrastructure, Economic Development, Government and Private Sector Leadership.
We learned early in the implementation process that many well-established groups and programs already address a number of the Plan’s strategies. These programs and organizations have formed alliances with other groups and individuals with common interests to optimize resources as the Plan’s strategies are implemented.
The alliances of organizations, programs and individuals work the front lines to carry out the implementation of the Plan’s strategies. The co-chairs of each foundation area oversee and coordinate implementation, with assistance from the Heartland Visioning Staff. Coordination and oversight are essential in making sure that the strategies are carried out according to our blueprint... our vision.
