What We Do
This team monitors the progress of each of the other six teams. They review goals and benchmarks set for strategies and help determine if they are applicable and work to achieve our key benchmarks.

Though the benchmark has not been established for this area, a dynamic downtown is seen as an indicator of success taking place in Topeka & Shawnee County. In the past few years, there has been a lot of excitement regarding the revitatlization of Downtown Topeka.

For four years in a row, the per capita personal income in Topeka and Shawnee County have increased steadily. The Key Benchmark we measure for a prosperous community is that:
- Shawnee County's average wage earned will be .75 percent above the U.S. average wage earned.

Between 2010 and 2011, crimes in Topeka has gone up 4.0 percent. The crime that saw the biggest increase was Auto Theft. Eighteen percent more Auto Thefts happened in 2011 than in 2010.

Population growth in Topeka and Shawnee Coutny have been on the rise. The 2011 Shawnee County population as well as the Topeka population reflects this trend.
