Industrial Maintenance Training Center of Excellence

Industrial Maintenance Training Center of Excellence (IMTCE)-- Washburn Institute of Technology

IMTCE: Dr. Roxanne Kelly reported that she is in the process of re-focusing the subcommittee with a number of new members. An industry-wide meeting was held on 9/15/10 at Washburn Tech.

  • A grant request from Congress to fund an expansion of the program at Washburn Tech died when Congress did not act on any special appropriations in Dec. 2010.
  • The IMTCE program has a strong base but work is still needed to communicate with companies to determine what additional skills are needed.
