Thirty-eight individuals from the Topeka and Shawnee County were selected to participate in the 30th class for the 2013 Leadership Greater Topeka program.

Heartland Visioning collaborated with our vision partners United Way of Greater Topeka and the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library to bring The Effective Facilitator class to Topeka. Fourteen Shawnee County Residents attended the four-day intensive training.

Fifty-one community members participated in the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce's annual Inter-City Visit October 3-5 to Ft. Collins, Colorado.
Each year, the Topeka Chamber of Commerce coordinate an Inter-City visit in which community members tou and learn from the efforts and successes of other communities. Previous visits focused on ideas like:

September 6, 30 community members who are alumni of the Kansas Leadership Center (KLC) programs, met at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas and discussed the official formation of a Shawnee County alumni group.
