The Tonantzin Society announced the winner of the Día de los Muertos Topeka logo competition winner. Buck Reist’s, an award-winning collegiate artist, Kansas inspired skull was selected to represent the Día de los Muertos Topeka 2012 event.
“We had so many wonderful entries this year and we want to first thank everyone who submitted a logo for the competition,” said Christina Valdivia-Alcala, co-chair Tonantzin Society. “Buck did an amazing job and wonderfully captured Kansas and the spirit of Día de los Muertos in a beautiful logo” Reist originally from southwest Kansas now lives in Topeka with his wife, son and beloved pets. His art work is on display at Fine line Tattoo, 1915 Southwest Gage Boulevard, where Reist shares his artistic talents as tattoo artist.
