Fundraiser to Benefit Topeka’s Aaron Douglas Art Fair

A concert benefitting the 2012 Aaron Douglas Art Fair will take place next Friday, July 27^th, 2012 at Serendipity, located in the heart of the Topeka NOTO arts district. 

Indie Rock group Chris Aytes & The Good Ambition will headline the event.  A $3 admission will be taken at the door, with all proceeds going toward the upcoming art fair.

Organized by the Aaron Douglas Art Fair Executive Committee and the Central Topeka Turnaround Team, the Aaron Douglas Art Fair celebrates the Topeka-native’s life and influence as “the father of African American art” by showcasing diverse and emerging artists from the Topeka area.  The 7^th Annual Aaron Douglas Art fair will be held September 22, 2012 from 10a.m.-5p.m. at the Aaron Douglas Art Park, 12^th and Lane, Topeka
